South China Academy is the first school set up by the Restoration Royalists in Macau; Jinghu School is the first free school run by Chinese in Macau; Peiji Middle School was founded by a member of the Tongmenghui, leading the trend of students in Macau for a while; the Society of Jesus founded St. Paul's College. The missionary Matteo Ricci and Xu Guangqi collaborated to translate "Geometric Yuanyuan" and compiled "Chongzhen Calendar"; translated "Four Books", "Five Classics", "Tao De Jing", "I Ching Summary", "Compendium of Materia Medica", etc. It spread to the West and built a bridge between the two major civilizations in the world. The "September 18th" incident, the Japanese invasion of China, and the Chinese Education Association organized a national humiliation parade. The younger generation of Macao began to accept the baptism of the great era. The spirit of "unity and patriotism" has since been rooted in Haojiang Macao. The modernization of education in Macao was founded on the establishment of educational institutions of official and private, Portuguese and Chinese, churches and societies, and developed on the basis of long-term coexistence, disconnection, independence, self-contained systems, and rare in the world.
