Introduction to the ten-episode TV documentary "Macao at Fingertips"
The handicraft industry is a traditional industry with a long history in Macau. After hundreds of years of changes, some have continued to this day, some are on the verge of being lost, some have mutated through the intersection of Eastern and Western civilizations, and some have been renewed through the leaps and bounds of the times.
The TV documentary "Macao at Your Fingertips" reflects the craftsmanship of Macao's hand-crafted art. In the process of historical inheritance and innovation and development, the craftsman spirit and the breath of the times possessed by the Macao people. The film allows the world to understand the rich cultural connotation of Macau from different angles.
Macao has abundant resources of folk handicrafts. During the filming of this film, I felt that it needed to be explored, discovered, and supported. Among them are both professional artists and folk craftsmen; both old masters and young people who have just left school; both Portuguese people who have lived in Macau for a long time and local people of Macau: the subjects of the film are all Macau people, although their handcrafted artworks are different, they all reflect the local characteristics of Macau from different aspects.
